This very simple and intuitive approach begins the setup for
addressing the dilemma of infinite information.
It actually makes no difference if we are counting pages or computer printouts
or movie frames from a reel.
The point is to generate all possible unique images
within the borders of a given frame.
Notice something very important: That we have never really considered that
there is a limit to how many unique images that can be created.
Without going to infinitesimal resolutions, or infinite colors or page sizes, the result
will always be finite- not infinite.
And the reason we haven't thought much about this limitation is that the magnitudes (kilo-digit, mega-digit, giga-digit
numbers)of the limits is far beyond anything that feels restrictive.
The dilemma about infinite information is that if we are restricted to
finite amounts of unique writings and drawings on finite-sized paper then no matter how
large the paper it we will never allow us to generate infinite writings and drawings.
Of course, there is a resolution to this dilemma and that's why it has spawned
a new subject that allows for a macro-view of all arenas of knowledge and is called "discrete philosophy."
